Amy Sturgis, adjunct instructor of liberal studies at Belmont University, was nominated for the International One Ring Celebration (ORC) Awards for her lecture, “Harry Potter is a Hobbit.” The presentation was nominated for “Best Tolkien Based Lecture or Paper Presented at an Academic Function.” Sturgis presented “Harry Potter is a Hobbit” at the Gathering of the Fellowship, a conference for admirers of the works of J.R.R.
