With exams wrapping up tomorrow, there is good news to report to start the week. Water pressure continues to improve across campus, and the Beaman will remain open 24 hours a day for student use through tonight. Also, though water conservation remains a significant concern in our city, on Sunday, Metro Water Services announced that Nashville’s reserve water supply has improved, and customers can now do essential loads of laundry and dishes. Still, water should not be used in excess, and we encourage the Belmont community to lead the way in water conservation.
This weekend’s graduation activities will occur as scheduled with Baccalaureate Friday at 2 p.m., Graduate Commencement Friday at 7:30 p.m. (MPAC) and Undergraduate Commencement Saturday at 10 a.m. (CEC). Please check the BIC calendar for additional details on campus events.
As our city transitions from crisis response to recovery, Belmont’s Office of Communications will begin posting all news and information related to the flood response on myBelmont, the Belmont Responds Web site and the Belmont Responds Facebook page. We are all so proud and encouraged by our community’s volunteer efforts this weekend, and these sites will help facilitate ongoing projects.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and positive spirit as Belmont University has dealt with the impact on our campus and in our city from the recent flood. It’s truly been a remarkable time to Be a Bruin.
