Country music superstar Brad Paisley will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award from Belmont University at a banquet during Homecoming festivities. Paisley, who graduated from Belmont in 1995 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majored in music business at Belmont’s Mike Curb School of Music Business.
Paisley is a three-time CMA award winning artist and the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry. His first two albums were certified Platinum on the strength of such hits as “He Didn’t Have to Be,” “We Danced,” and “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” His current Arista Nashville album, Mud on the Tires, was released on July 22 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard
