Belmont University has named Deborah (Debbie) Strain Coppinger as Director of Alumni Relations.
A graduate of Auburn University, Coppinger has worked over 14 years in higher education. Coppinger comes to Belmont from Middle Tennessee State University, where she served as Alumni Relations Director and Executive Director of the Middle Tennessee State University National Alumni Association since 1997.
Prior to her time at MTSU, she served as Assistant to the President at the University of Central Florida, as Assistant Director for Alumni and Development at Auburn University, and as Director of Alumni Affairs at Troy State University. She has earned four Tennessee Advancement Resources Council awards (TARC) for Alumni Programs and also the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Alumni Reunion Award.
