Belmont alums Tim and Carrie Tweten recently helped fix up a Franklin widow’s home in an effort to raise money to fund their adoption of two Russian orphans. Many volunteers participated in the event and asked for sponsorship to go towards the adoption. Volunteers painted, cleaned up trash, installed lighting fixtures and more. A video describing the day and telling the story is available to view here. The service project was assisted by the organization Both Hands, which seeks to help fix up widows homes with the help of supply donations from companies and individual sponsorships of volunteers.
