Stuart McWhorter, co-founder and president of Franklin, TN-based Clayton Associates was installed as an honorary inductee of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society serving AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited business programs. The induction ceremony was at 5:00 p.m. on April 11th at Belmont University. “Stuart is a wonderful friend of the university,” says Pat Raines, Dean of the College of Business Administration at Belmont. “He is an outstanding mentor to our business students both for his many successes in the business arena and for his community work. He is a true inspiration to our students.”
McWhorter has served as an Adjunct Professor in management for the College of Business Administration, where he taught healthcare management and entrepreneurship. McWhorter, who is the first honoree of The Belmont University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, offered his insights in a speech, entitled “From Here to the Business World” to the student and faculty inductees.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student can receive in a business program that is accredited by AACSB International. Beta Gamma Sigma has inducted more than 540,000 outstanding students into membership since its founding in 1913. These 540,000 members have served in corporate, government, non-profit, educational, and other management positional at every level of responsibility.
