The annual Battle of the Belmont Bands and Family Fun Festival kicked off the semester in fine style Saturday evening as thousands of students, faculty, staff and alumni came out to The Lawn to enjoy an array of vendors, food, games and music.
Inflatables were available for families with children.
And a balloon artist, face painter, pop-a-shot basketball, an illusionist and a cornhole tournament along with free popcorn and snowcones brought smiles to faces of all ages.
But the main attraction, the annual Battle of the Belmont Bands concert, amped up the excitement when the music began at 6 p.m. with performances from the six student acts: Air Ralley, Talia, Blackwood Row, Mary and Brianna, Life in a Tree and the Bella Hudson Band.
And what better way to end the night than a performance from a successful alumni band as The Lonely Biscuits returned to campus to close out the night on a high note. For more photos from Saturday’s event, visit the photo gallery on the Belmont SmugMug site.
