On Sept. 28, 18 Belmont University students canoed down the Harpeth River, picking up trash and debris along the way. Among the litter they collected were vinyl siding, three tires, a bike, a remote control car, an air mattress, bottles, cans and couch cushions.
“The commitment to service and work these students put in was amazing and is truly what makes Belmont such a special place. This will not be last time for this type of project,” said Assistant Director of Fitness and Recreation Jamie Zeller.
