English Professor Dr. Annette Sisson was awarded a Mark Strand Scholarship in Poetry for the 2021 Sewanee Writers’ Conference which will take place at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee July 20-August 1.
Offering workshops in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and playwriting, the Conference invites talented writers to come to Sewanee each summer to learn from each other in a welcoming and supportive environment. In addition to workshops led by two exceptional faculty members, the program includes an individual meeting for each participant with a faculty member, numerous readings, open mics, craft lectures and master classes taught by faculty and fellows.
