Cornwall Chairs Global Conference on Entrepreneurship

Dr Jeff Cornwall, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Belmont University, is chairing the 50th Annual Meeting of the International Council for Small Business all this week in Washington DC, where more than 600 attendees from around the world are exchanging ideas about educating entrepreneurs and about public policy issues related to entrepreneurship.


The International Council for Small Business, founded in 1955, is the oldest and largest global membership organization dedicated to examining and discussing issues affecting the teaching, research and delivery of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprise world-wide. Collectively, the more than 2,000 members of the ICSB through their eleven national affiliates work and assist tens of thousands of individual currently in business or desiring to start a business relatively soon.
The leading teachers, researchers, policy-makers and practitioners interested in entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprise are attending the ICSB conference, including attendees from around the world including Europe, Brazil, Japan, Republic of China, Singapore, Korea, Southern Africa, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Puerto Rico/Caribbean, and the United States.
Dr. Cornwall is a professor of management and holds the prestigious Jack C. Massey Chair in Entrepreneurship at Belmont. Belmont’s entrepreneurship program, listed as one of the best in the nation by Entrepreneurship magazine, is one of Belmont’s fastest growing programs.
