Assistant Professor of Religion and the Arts Dr. David Dark and his daughter Dorothy recently published an article on the MTV News website regarding their trip to this summer’s Bonnaroo festival. Titled “J. Cole, Walt Whitman and Me: Taking My Dad to Bonnaroo,” the written conversation between father and daughter explores how the Tennessee festival fosters “kinship at every turn,” creating a “social miracle” of sorts in an otherwise frequently difficult world.
