Bork to Lead Center for Professional Development

bork.bmpBelmont University announces the appointment of Joseph T. Bork as director of The Center for Professional Development. The Center for Professional Development was created by Belmont University to offer training in the principles and practices of continuous improvement. It is affiliated with the College of Business Administration and the Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University.


Bork comes to Belmont with fifteen years of experience in the Executive Development field. He has held growth positions at Davenport University, Arkansas State University, and The University of Minnesota, and most recently, served as Dean of Faculty at the Minnesota School of Business.
Bork says his primary goal for the Center for Professional Development is to raise the awareness of the fine programs that the CPD has to offer to the Middle Tennessee business community and add more cutting edge management programs for seasoned managers and newly minted supervisors.
He is a past advisory board member and former chairman of the Conference of Management and Executive Development and is a founding board member of the Journal of Executive Development housed at Kennessaw State University. He is a certified Achieve Global Trainer, Performax Trainer, and is associated with Covey Leadership and Ken Blanchard training. He is a highly sought after speaker in the areas of management training, executive development, and the marketing of non-credit programs to profit and non-profit entities.
Bork’s academic teaching background includes adjunct appointments at Aquinas College, Davenport University, Spring Arbor University, Western Michigan University, Globe College, and the Carlson School of Management at The University of Minnesota. He most recently taught a graduate course in marketing to a group of students from Taiwan at Metropolitan State University.
